Research Assistant

Job Summary
The Research Assistant will support VascVersa researchers by performing and assisting with various tasks including scientific experiments, data collection, analysis, literature review, and administrative duties. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organised individual with a strong interest in scientific research and a commitment to advancing therapeutic medicines for vascular dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in collection, analysis, and interpretation of data using various methodologies.

Coordinate and schedule meetings and other research-related activities.

Maintain accurate records of research activities and results.

Provide administrative support to the research team as needed. (Maintaining lab supplies/equipment and placing orders).

Assist with routine lab experiments.

Perform sterility testing.

Collaborate with other researchers, staff, and external partners.
Essential Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.

Previous lab research experience, tissue culture experience is highly desirable.

Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., PRISM) and data analysis techniques.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable Skills:
-
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Experience in vascular biology/Immunology/ gene editing.

Knowledge of programming languages (R, Python etc).

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
Work Environment:

This position may require occasional evening or weekend work depending on research needs.

Some travel may be required for meetings or conferences.

The role will involve working with sensitive or confidential information.
